Dr. Roya Caloia, DO, MPH, FACEP, FAAEM, is a distinguished emergency medicine physician whose career exemplifies a unique blend of clinical expertise, leadership, and dedication to public health education. As Vice Chair of the National Clinical Governance Board and National Director of Clinical Education for US Acute Care Solutions, Dr. Caloia plays a pivotal role in shaping emergency medicine practices nationwide. She serves as an emergency medicine physician and core faculty for the EM Residency at Ascension Genesys Medical Center in Grand Blanc, MI, where she combines her clinical skills with her passion for teaching. Dr. Caloia's journey in healthcare began at the University of Miami, where she worked as a health counselor, igniting her interest in public health. This experience led her to pursue a Master of Public Health from Florida International University before obtaining her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Her commitment to advancing emergency medicine is evident through her various roles, including serving on the MCEP Education committee, vice-chairing the ACOEP BPEM committee, and acting as an AOBEM Oral Board Examiner. As a reviewer for prominent emergency medicine journals and a frequent presenter and lecturer, Dr. Caloia contributes significantly to medical education and research. Dr. Caloia's exceptional work has earned her numerous accolades, including Humanitarian Service Awards, recognition in the "20 Under 40" by the Monroe newspaper, and Faculty of the Year at Genesys Regional Medical Center.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Caloia is passionate about promoting holistic health. She integrates her public health background into her medical practice, emphasizing patient education and preventive care. In her personal life, she enjoys beekeeping, raising chickens, and gardening, reflecting her commitment to sustainable living and wellness.
