Angie Aboutalib, MD, FACP, DipABLM, RYT

Dr. Angie Aboutalib, MD, FACP, DipABLM, RYT, is a dual board certified internal medicine and lifestyle medicine physician who brings a unique, comprehensive perspective of bridging the gap between traditional medicine and innovative lifestyle approaches. She also serves as the National Director of Quality and Education at US Acute Care Solutions (USACS), while simultaneously maintaining an active role in hospital medicine and teaching faculty for an internal medicine residency program in Los Angeles.
Dr. Aboutalib's expertise seamlessly bridges Eastern and Western medical practices through her role as a certified yoga instructor and teacher trainer. At the Chicago School of Yoga, she teaches yoga as medicine, yoga anatomy, and the science behind mindfulness. Her previous experience teaching yoga at Northwestern University's postgraduate physical therapy department further exemplifies her commitment to integrating holistic practices into mainstream healthcare.

Dr. Aboutalib's leadership extends to pivotal roles in the medical community. She serves on the board of Policy and Practice Management for the Society of Hospital Medicine and holds several key positions within US Acute Care Solutions (USACS). These include Chair of the National Peer Review Committee, board member of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and member of the National Clinical Governance Board (NCGB).

Inspired by her global experiences, Dr. Aboutalib has become a passionate advocate for addressing healthcare disparities and promoting lifestyle and longevity medicine. Her commitment to equitable healthcare is evident in her advocacy efforts, including her fight to preserve an underserved community hospital in Chicago. During the COVID-19 pandemic, her firsthand experiences in multiple hospitals reinforced her dedication to tackling systemic health issues and healthcare professional burnout.

Dr. Aboutalib's pioneering "Wholemed Method” represents a paradigm shift in patient care, viewing the body as an integrated system of mind, body, and purpose. This approach empowers individuals to take an active role in their health journey. The “Wholemed Method” combined with "Wholemed Gives Back" program, underscores her belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve their best possible health, regardless of socioeconomic status.

Her expertise has earned her numerous accolades, including the Top Internist in Chicago award from the Leading Physicians of the World , recognition in Today's Hospitalist Magazine and Best in California magazine. With a focus on lifestyle medicine, longevity, microbiome research, and nutritional medicine, Dr. Aboutalib continues to push the boundaries of conventional healthcare.

Beyond her professional achievements, she enjoys cooking, world traveling, hiking, art and painting, tennis, trying new hobbies and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
